TV Series: Dominion (2014)

D ominion is a 90 minute Action/Fantasy series that just showed it's last episodes of season two some days ago.
Most of the reviews of this series is terrible, not bad but just simply horrible and mean. I'm not saying it's the greatest series out there but if you LOVE fantasy and angels than this is a series for you. Just you can see through the bad acting and writing everyone talks about and take the good message in.

In Resume: Dominion takes place in an post-apothalytic future where an army of lower angels possess mankind assembled by the archangel Gabriel. The archangel Michel takes the side of mankind and tries to save a boy that is destined to save the world and relinquish the angels from the possessed.

Most of you will not like this series but I can say it's a 5/10 and that is a good series to have in background of something else. Also there are some crazy ideas thrown that I like to discuss with myself when I need a brake from what work I'm doing at the time ;)
If you start seeing the series you might recognise some actors from other series, like me =)

Maybe in a near future someone will make a more well written and elaborated series similar to this one, it's become fashion to recycle or make movies in to series so I do think there will be a better version of this series in the next years, in the mean time I will be seeing this one and I do think there is a third season coming.

Just A LITTLE EXTRA, why do these type of series continue and Hannibal - the series - has ended? At it's third season and with so much potential to continue at least for more two. I will be reviewing Hannibal soon!

MUWAE: Unboxing and Review

Hi everyone! It's been a busy month and I haven't had the time to talk with you all. It's always when you have the most to say but never the time to say it. Oh well! I found a few minutes and decided to hop on and tell you about this fabulous new jewelry company!

Muwae is a jewelry company which motto is: "Always believe love is about to happen." They have the most amazing bracelets, earrings, and necklaces. The cost differs but they also have always some sales running =)

I was contacted by Muwae, they saw my YouTube videos and asked me if I wanted to review a piece of jewelry from their line. I went on to the site, very excited and browsed through the site and loved so many items. I chose one and they sent it to me =)

It was sent to me for free  but I did not take any other compensation for my review. It's my honest opinion.

I chose a pair of studs. They came in a pretty black box with a soft cloth that has a snap closure to protect the item. They feel high quality. They are not to0 heavy which is always a good thing for earrings, so they don't pull on your ear lobes ;) They are sturdy and as amazing as on the site. To me, they are more amazing in person.

You can use them to dress up any outfit or give some colour and interest to it. I will be using them non stop =D

I made a youtube video review as they requested and as I love the earrings so much I wanted to do a blog post on it too =D

From my experience with this necklace, Muwae jewelry is high quality at a great price. It's great for you or for gifting. I will be buying some to add to my collection.

You can also find them on: Facebook, twiter, pinterest, instagram and google+.

TV Series: Girls (2012)

Girls is a 30 minute comedy drama about the experiences of a group of girls in their early 20s, the ups and downs of their lives as the obstacles come and bang on the door.  is the creator and also stars as Hannna. In the mix are her friends: Marnie (), Jessa () and Shoshanna ().

Girls was appointed to me by Chanelettehttps://www.youtube.com/user/Chanelette ) a youtuber that I love watching. She vlogs a lot among other beauty videos. I love all of her videos but the ones I love most are the decor hauls.

So I started watching Girls inspired by her and fell in love with the normality of it, how I can relate to the characters and the blunt way it's reproduced in the series.

From the first episodes you can see if you love it or hate it. It's small but precise. I would give it a 8/10. And I can say it's gotten better but the root is there it just spread a little bigger now =) Being a girl you can identify with any or all the characters and being a boy you can have some insight to what is a "girls life", of course it's a bit exaggerate but what girls is not a bit exaggerated =D

TV Series: The Originals

The Originals is a series about vampires but these are not ordinary vampires they are the first vampires or the first vampire family. The series revolves around Klaus () which is a hybrid - vampire and wolf - then their are other very important family members like Elijah () my favourite among the vampire family =) and the most loved brother of Klaus, there sister Rebekah () and there other two brothers Kol () and another. =) Klaus's mother is a witch and his "father" is a vampire hunter.

In Resume: "The original family" of vampires lived in the city of New Orleans where they lived happily. However, all has changed and it's up to them to take back what they built. And try to get that happy family all together again.

It's a very interesting series and it's mother was The Vampire Diaries but it does not match it, they are different the only thing they have in common is their love for family. It's quite interesting and I would give it a 8/10.

TV Series: The Vampire Diaries (2009)

The Vampire Diaries is a very well known series of vampires, werewolves and witches. The centre of the series is Elena () and the two vampire brothers Stefan () and Damon (). It involves these three in a web of love, betrayal and sacrifice mixed in with their friends Bonnie () - the witch that is always helping, Jeremy () Elena's brother, Caroline () - the friend that is always there, Matt () the ex, Tyler () - the werewolf, among others that enter and "abandon" leaving a trail of blood and suffering.

It's a quite intense series and if you are a girl you will certainly like it even if you don't like vampires because if you don't like Stefan you will love Damon (which is my case =D) and there are others very good too ;D

It's on it's 6th season so if you haven't seen it, what I doubt you should start now! =) They promise a 7th one and I do think hey have story for it.

The series is so good that it sprung a new series The Originals also a vampire series.

I will not bored you with more details of the series because if you see the first 4 episodes you will love it and be hooked or just hate it. I would give it a 9/10 but opinions do differ, my boyfriend wouldn't even give it a 5/10 =D

TV Series: 12 Monkeys

The 12 Monkeys is a series semi-based on the movie (same name) and it's a sci-fy and action series very elaborated. For those that haven't seen the movie...

Resume of the movie: The movie starred Bruce Willis as James Cole, a convicted criminal in a post-apocalyptic future where the Earth's population is forced to live underground after a deadly virus. In a bid to earn a pardon, Cole uses the imperfect science of time travel to help collect information on the virus released by the Army of the Twelve Monkeys.

Resume of the series: Cole (Aaron Stanford), Railly (Amanda Schull) race to stop the virus from being deployed as a bio-weapon and used to destroy human kind. They are trying to change the future but is that possible? And if it is will it become better?

This series, in my opinion, has a lot of space to grow in to a even greater series. It was based in one of the best movies of it's time and just that gives it a jump start.

I give this series a 10/10 because I just can't wait for the next episode and the next, and the next.... =D I recommend it to everybody, lovers or not of sci-fy series. And if you have not seen the movie also recommend. I've seen it again just because I missed it ;)

TV Series: Helix

Helix is a series about a disease outbreak in a high-tech facility in the Arctic, just out of the legal jurisdiction of prying noses, that ramps up the tension as a team from the Center for Disease Control arrives on the scene to help. What they find is something very bad and very weird.

Created and written by Cameron Porsandeh, Helix comes from a fine brain trust of executive producers: Ronald D. Moore (Battlestar Galactica), Lynda Obst (Contact) and Steven Maeda (Lost, The X-Files).  So, despite the ease with which many of these ambitious ideas go sideways, there's certainly faith in those behind the curtain to pull something off.

The story starts out in the Arctic but takes of and spreads it's wings to an island in the second season, which I'm loving. There are always hints that things are bigger than they appear, of course, and so Helix could move its environs and expand its world. And there will be twists that you were not expecting which makes the series very interesting and grips you to it.

There are a lot of other series like The Stain that have a similar base and then just gone bad =) But that is a topic for another day. I love seeing this and I would give it a 8/10.

TV Series: The 100

The 100 is a series about an earth that destroyed it self and 97 years after the nuclear war and spending this time in a decadent ship, they send 100 juvenile delinquents back to Earth in hopes of possibly re-populating the planet, but they are surprised...

As always it has a twist, this series is full of surprises and it always changes when your not expecting. I would say the cast of new actors are quite good and they have been increasingly getting better as the series comes a long.

The second season is even better than the first and there is even a slight resemblance to The Hunger Games arena with its varied terrain and mapped-out locations, almost to suggest there's someone controlling them all, we will see in the episodes/seasons to come =)

I'm loving this series and it's one of those I'm always waiting for the next episode anxiously so I do recommend it very passionately =D I would give it a 9/10.

TV Series: Black Sails (2014)

Black Sails is a series about pirates. If you like pirate movies you will like this series =) It's full of action and fighting. Most of the scenes are on a boat or of the sea but there is also some land diplomacy to attend to.

This ambitious pirate story is helped immensely by going beyond the pay cable freedoms that often bog down lesser shows in boobs, blood and sex. But of course it has all of that too ;D Black Sails steers itself out of that realm after a few episodes and makes a play for bigger, more complicated stories. Solid acting patches up weaker spots. A series worth a look.

Resume: It starts a little bit soft, you can't judge it from the first 4 episodes. More into the 6th episode it gets much better and in the last and beginning of the second season even more so. This new Michael Bay pirate series, set in 1715, during the "Golden Age of piracy." Here's a genre series that's got a lot of what you'd expect from Starz, gratuitous nudity, bloodshed and mayhem, but it also has a complicated story to spin.
Co-created and co-written by Jonathan E. Steinberg and Robert Levine, Black Sails tells the story of Capt. Flint (Toby Stephens), who runs the Walrus ship and is the most feared captain of all those docking in lawless New Providence Island. His crew includes the quartermaster, Gates (Mark Ryan), and first mate Billy Bones (Tom Hopper), who is next in line.

I'm watching this series second to Crossbones maybe that's why I just like Crossbones more, but my boyfriend says it's better and a bunch of US reviewers the same. It also has promises to continue as the third season is on it's way. I would say take a look at both and judge them your selves and then come here and leave me your opinion on it =)

I would give it a 7/10. It's a great series to see before going to bed =)

TV Series: Crossbones (2014)

Crossbones is a series based on a life of a pirate - Blackbeard. As you can already tell it's a pirates series =D and like all pirate series/movie you love it or hate it.

Most pirate stories are clichés because nobody is thinking about how to redefine them. They are only thinking about how to work within the parameters of swords, blood-thirsty men, remote islands and billowing cotton clothes. They are working in a swashbuckling genre when they ought to be fleeing from it, or turning it on its head. As you watch Crossbones, you might realise something. It looks like fun. It looks like a bunch of actors who like to play dress up and to be someone different than themselves, are having a wonderful time being pirates. The sets are kind of silly. The costumes are kind of silly. The acting is definitely silly. The sword play is like a kind of actor’s recess. You get the sense that Cross and a whole bunch of actors and production people are putting on a play with someone else’s money and having a grand old time of it. =D

By many reviewers in the US, Black Sails is a much better series than Crossbones but I beg the differ. I love Crossbones much more maybe because I saw it first or maybe because of John Malkovich =) Love his acting it's really unique. But just in case and if you like pirates movies take a view at the first 4-6 episodes of each series and leave me your opinion in the comments.

I'm seeing both and I'm loving them. I would give Crossbones a 8/10.

TV Series: House of Cards

House of cards is a 55 minutes series which has already two seasons out and the third is coming out in February.

In resume: Kevin Spacey, a congressman works his way up the "food chain" with his wife at his side and as equally convicted to the same objectives as Frank.
In the second season Beau Willimon, which is responsible for House of Cards, wants them to fast a bit of the victory they earned last season but not gorge on it. They must face big issues in this series to step up on the game.
Willimon, who paired with director Carl Franklin for the first two episodes, has mostly delivered on the good stuff that makes House of Cards watchable. However, he's still prone to letting Frank pontificate to the point of spouting cliches from time to time.

There is a particular thing in this series which is a type of narrative that Underwood does, addressing the viewer directly. This, to me, is a fun twist speciality when Frank doesn't actually address the camera in the first episode of the secons season until just before the end: "Did you think I'd forgotten you?" Frank asks, looking directly into the camera. "Perhaps you hoped I had."

We started seeing this series at the beginning of the year and we already saw it all, also we are anxious to see the third season. It deserves, without a doubts all the hype it receives and even more. It is described as a Dramatic series but I would say it a tips of a Political Thriller because you are constantly on your feet and hanging on to the popcorn to see what comes next. It also has a lot of plots and some romance it is not all politics :)

I give it a 10/10 without a flinch and I recommend everyone to see because you can even learn how not to act, or how to... I leave that to your personal choice. Just know that everything you do always comes back to you sooner or later!

Movie: The Boxtrolls

The Boxtrolls is a 96 minutes Animation where a young orphaned boy raised by underground cave-dwelling trash collectors tries to save his friends from an evil exterminator.

In Resume:  It’s a tale of class envy and attempted genocide in a mountaintop Victorian-era township called Cheesebridge, where access to that dairy product in all its most flavorful forms is what separates the rich “White Hats” from the poor in red. Down below ground level live the Boxtrolls, mischievous nonverbal creatures outfitted in recycled cartons. Each of them takes its name from its packaging: Fish, Shoe, Fragile, etc.

The saddest misstep here is that while the kind industrious Boxtrolls are the downtrodden of the story, they are also treated as such by the screenwriters. Their fate becomes entirely secondary to Snatcher’s lust for position and wealth, to Eggs’ friendship with plucky Winnie, and to the boy’s reunion with a lost figure from his past. And frankly, when there are trolls in peril in the mix, who cares about all that other stuff? =D

I would recommend to all Animation lovers and give it a 8/10, you know how much I love animations ;D

TV Series: True Detective (2014)

True Detective is a 55 minutes Crime, Drama, Mystery with  Matthew McConaughey.

In ResumeTrue Detective is about two detectives, one an old-school investigator, the other a book-smart profiler, brought together on a murder investigation with occult overtones and a strong whiff of serial killer sophistication. It's the kind of case Louisiana's Criminal Investigation Division hasn't seen before.

The story moves back and forth between 1995 and 2012, revealing bits of the case and personal bits of both Hart and Cohle keeps viewers hooked on each track, while the technique also provides a glimpse at how their relationship changed all the people around them over time.

True Detective has three immediately impressive attributes:

  1.  The acting by Matthew McConaughey and Woody Harrelson is off the charts.
  2.  The writing, by series creator and novelist Nic Pizzolatto, undulates from effectively brash soliloquies to penetratingly nuanced moments carried by sparse prose.
  3.  Lastly, director Cary Fukunaga has created a beautiful, sprawling sense of place, the series is shot and set in Louisiana.

The series is an interesting swirl of detective work and relationship scenes that involves you not with the rapid movement of the scenes but the intensity every moment is lived.

It's and impressive series and I would recommend seeing it at night in relax mode. I would give it a 8/10.

Movie: Predestination (2014)

Predestination is a 97 minutes sci-fi thriller with a twist that will discuss you. But just look at it scientifically and it will be better =D

Inevitability and destiny are at the root of this mind-twisting adaptation of Robert Heinlein’s. A  complicated story, often boggling and frequently challenging, sci-fi drama dealing with the self, identity, gender and, of course, the paradox of time travel. It's a lot to fit in to one unique movie but Heinlein did it and it's very well constructed.

Predestination takes temporal paradoxes to an entirely new level. I don't want to reveal the gold of the movie but what I can say is that it gave me a little bit of a bad disposition, but very worth it. Still, it’s the kind of movie that will get audiences talking, trying to find the “beginning” of the story and piecing together—or tearing apart—the logic of it.

The final 15 minutes, sadly, feel a bit rushed. And the final reveals come at a frantic pace that clashes with the earlier relatively slower and meticulous pace.

For me it's a 8/10. I would recommend you to see it.

2015 Resolutions/Goals

Last year I wrote some resolutions down on my planner and it really helped me to achieve them. This year I've already written some down and I also made a video reviewing my last year and also talking about this year's resolutions/goals:

I'm happy to say that even though this year started on a wrong foot for me I'm giving it all I can by trying to do everything on my list. I've been sick since day 2 =( but I have pushed through and I think I will be successful =)

My goals for this year are:
      1. Exercise 4-5 days per week
      2. Eat home made and healthy meals
      3. Drink 2 litters of water per day
      4. Start running outside when the weather get better
      5. Blogging, Instagraming, Twitering and Pinning... more
      6. Make better quality videos and also edit better
      7. Visit my family more than last year
      8. Be more organised (mostly at home: trying a new schedule =D
      9. Get my youtube subscribers to 100 (maybe 200 until the end of the year?!)
      10. Get my weight down 5-7 kg

I have some more personal goals but these are the top 10 ones. Hopefully I did not forget any but check out the video to see if I did.

If you are an image person and need to see your goals everyday I would recommend you go and see a friend of mine video that has a fantastic goal board:

VasseurBeauty: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ThiMg33aIow

Hope you like, and subscribe to her, as much as I do =D

Reality TV: Hell's Kitchen

I don't see a bunch of reality TV but Hell's Kitchen is just at the TOP of the TOP.

It's a 42 minutes Game-Show where selected cooks and house-cooks are competing against one another and also in group showing which is the best under pressure cook in the mix.

Gordon Ramsay is an amazing cook and I will eat, one day, food that he made =) (it's a dream and a honor) And in this show he inspires other cooks to be the best they can be at the same time as showing us what he expects from a restaurant of his.

I also see his channels on youtube:
     - Gordon Ramsay
     - The F Word

Which I also recommend seeing for great and fast recipes.

I recommend this series to every food lover and even reality TV lovers. If you aren't either give it a go too =D I give it a 10/10!!!

Movie: Lucy

Lucy is a sci-fi thriller of 89 minutes that fantasises about unlocking 100 percent of the brain's potential and expects viewers to be using just 2 or 3 percent of their own grey matter =)

The idea is some what interesting but the making is just wrong, it should be different in a lot of different aspects and leaves us (viewers) with a bunch of questions about in one scene she can do this but on the other she can't?!!?

Besson's script offers neither the well-drawn character dynamics nor the clear motivations of a decent comic book origin story.
Helpfully, Besson mixed Lucy's story and an academic lecture in Paris where a researcher has been hypothesising about the very thing that is happening to her, making remarkably specific predictions about what might happen if humans were able to use more than the 10 percent we currently use (a myth) of the magnificent supercomputers in our heads. His ideas, like some of the film's other early scenes, are illustrated with cutaways to nature footage suggesting the ways in which all of Earth's creatures are interconnected, governed by the same laws. Think Besson doing The Tree of Life =D

I would go in a different path and reach the same enlightenment than Besson. But I would say it's a 6/10 just a bit above average because of the actors and great basic idea.

Nail Care Routine || Winter

Love treating my nails when they need a little love!

They usually give me some colour to my day so at night and when the time is right I pick up my nail kit and start by step 1:

This leaves my nails, cuticles and hand feeling rejuvenated. I leave them bare for a day or two so that they can breath and then THEY GIVE ME MORE COLOR on the other days =D

I can also add and extra one or two steps when they are looking yellow:
     - I put some tooth past and brush them
And when they are extra brittle:
     - I do a soak of Johnson and Johnson baby oil or if you prefer olive oil does the same =)

This is great when I'm watching a series or a movie at night, a little mini pamper.

What do you do to take care of your nails?
